Homeschool Space
I read in the book Homeschool Bravely by Jamie Erickson that one does not need an entire homeschool room in order to homeschool. At the time we lived in a small but wonderful apartment. The pandemic had started and I knew going forth that homeschool was our path. This simple line in that book took away all the pressure and gave me confidence to homeschool.
Our “homeschool room” is our dinning room. I love it. It’s a place for memories made up of conversations, learning, and connecting. We try and start school every day at 9:00 am.
If you feel the call to homeschool but don’t have the space for a homeschool room, let me tell you that it is not necessary. It’s nice, but not necessary. All you need a little corner, a cart or bookshelf/cabinet of some sort, school supplies, a map or globe, and lots of love. All of the other bells and whistles are extra. With that, you are good to go!
Do you feel that it’s important to have a homeschool room?
