How to Simplify Tea Time
Tea time looks beautiful and intimidating on Instagram, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Let me share how I simplify tea time in our home.
1. Tea Time is Snack Time
On most days, at 3:00 p.m., we have tea time. Tea time is just a fancy way of saying snack time. During our tea time, the children have their milk along with snacks. Note that you don’t need to have actual tea to call it tea time. This is also their last snack before dinner.
2. Use Paper Plates
Using paper plates prevents the chore buildup. I use paper plates, and that helps reduce the stress.
3. Read Something
During tea time, I read a short story, poetry, or a fable or tale. Make sure to do all the voices when reading.
4. Handicrafts/Art
After tea time, we work on our handicrafts or art development. It’s a great time to unwind.
By the way, I don’t see our simplified tea time as a failure. It’s a wonderful part of our day that my children look forward to.
