Education is a discipline is all about habit training. This training includes tasks in the home and in education.
The purpose of habit training is to help in right thinking and right acting. Habit training is supposed to consistent and thoughtful.
We are not just educating in the present but giving them tools they can use when they become adults and live on their own. The tools one teaches their children should help them live fruitful lives. As mother-teachers we can demonstrate how we use those skills in real life.
Focus on habit at a time that is age appropriate. This will allow the child to grow confident in the task.
Charlotte Mason believed that good habits lead to health, morals, and manners. Godly habits lead to a righteous and sober life.
