Bug Book Recommendation
Happy Wednesday! Today in the #livingbooklegacy group we are sharing Bug Books.
For bug week, I am sharing We Are The Gardeners by Joanna Gaines and kids. This book is written for children ages 8-12. However, mature young children will enjoy this book.
Although this book isn’t strictly about bugs, we actually learned a lot about bugs that are good for the garden.
For example adding flowers like zinnias, sunflower, and cosmos to your garden attracts bees and butterflies, which are great for pollination. Worms eat dead roots and leaves and turn it into life for the soil. Ladybugs eat aphids, which destroy your plants.
We actually bought some ladybugs for our garden last year and are planning flowers to help our garden bloom.
If you don’t like bug books this might be a great place to start. This book shows how the right type of bugs in your garden can help it flourish.
