Book Review: In Vital Harmony by Karen Glass
Happy Monday everyone! Today I want to share with you my thoughts about In Vital Harmony by Karen Glass. I just finished reading it and wanted to write about it before I forget or run out of time.
Glass takes all of Charlotte Mason’s principles and combines them into two basic principles under which all the other principles fall under: “Children are born persons” and “Education is the science of relations”.
Glass throughly explains how the knowledge of God, Man, and the Universe fall under both of these principles. All of the subjects are explained through the lens of children are born persons and education is the science of relations. She puts it all together with the concept of “Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life”.
If you are having trouble understanding Charlotte Mason, I highly recommend that you read In Vital Harmony. If you are curious about the Charlotte Mason method, then I highly recommend you read In Vital Harmony.
Although the Charlotte Mason volumes are difficult to comprehend, it is good to read them and see her words for yourself.
That said, In Vital Harmony is definitely a book worth reading every year.
