Nature Study Living Notebook

Notebook Overview

Living notebooks is a combination of the Charlotte Mason method and the Interactive Notebook method I used when I was a teacher. Living notebooks respect the child as a person. They help cultivate organization, narration, and artistic skills. The notebook is a place for your child to express themself, find hidden talents, use and develop different parts of the brain, and practice good habits.

Three helpful tips on how to use the Nature Study Living Notebook.

  • Simplify: Notebook includes space for students to write down poetry, illustrate their nature finds, and a space for their narration.

  • Organize: The notebook is organized into a left-hand and right-hand page layout. The left-hand page is for writing poetry and copywriting. The right-hand page is for their illustration and narration.

  • Beautify: All notebook entries should be a sample of their best work. This includes good handwriting and beautiful art.

    DETAILS:

  • The notebooks are 8.5 x 11 inches and have 72 pages.

  • The notebook has space for 52 weeks of lessons. In other words, whether you do history once a week or more, the work for that week goes in one space.

  • The notebook organizes your student's work into an easy right-hand, left-hand page layout.

  • Great for grades 1-12
