Mama Bible Time

Happy Friday! Today as part of #BibleTimeLegacy, we are sharing our personal Bible Time. My goal in sharing these bi-weekly posts is to help you create a family culture anchored in God’s Word.

Our job as Christian families is to “tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done” Psalm 78:4. So where does that begin?

I do believe that begins with us. As mothers, we must show the example of having daily Bible time. This small amount of time may look different for all of us depending on the season of life we are in.

My Bible time is in the bathroom while I’m getting ready. It isn’t cozy or instagram pretty. I get up before the kids so that I can be quiet.

I use @thebiblerecap for daily readings. The Bible Recap has a link in the Bible app that reads the Bible to you daily. So as I get ready, I read/listen to the Bible. I also use the highlighting guide by @shelovesbible to help me read more intentionally.

I do suggest not to let pretty IG pictures keep you from your daily Bible study. Here are some ideas for daily Bible time:

- Listen in the car while taking kids to school.
- Read the Bible together as a family.
- Listen as you wash dishes.
- Listen in the gym.
- Listen as you eat dinner.

Those are just some ideas that popped into my head. I hope these ideas will encourage you to make time for God.

What does your Bible time look like?
