Lessons I Learned in Term One 2021
We just completed term one and I wanted to share some lessons I learned along the way. The lessons I learned will be listed below in particular order.
1. Choose one curriculum: it’s so hard to choose curriculum online because everything looks so beautiful on Instagram. But when you get down to applying all of it, it can be very overwhelming and expensive. So once you’ve tried it all, make sure to simplify and stick to one maybe two curriculum based.
2. One subject a day: I learned this lesson early on this term. I was teaching all subjects every single day and that made the day long dreadful. Instead, we did math and ELA everyday and History, Geography, Spanish, Nature History, and Nature Study on their own separate days.
3. Start early, finish early: There’s nothing like starting the day early and finishing early to do other things.
