Heartsteading
Have you ever heard of heartsteading? I’m currently reading The Wild and Free Family and the author introduces the concept of heartsteading that she learned from her friend who is a military wife.
This concept really struck a chord with me because as a military wife myself, I can say each move gets harder and harder.
Heartsteading means creating a safe, warm inviting space where children can feel safe and a sense of belonging.
I love this idea and out things into perspective for me. It doesn’t matter how many times we move, it is important that make our home into a safe haven for our children to explore and awaken wonder.
This little section of the book has really made me be more intentional about the home I’m cultivating for my children.
My plan is to, no matter where we move, make our home into a place of comfort and connection.
What ideas do you have to create a safe haven for your family?
