Charlotte Mason Mentors
I’m going to admit that reading Charlotte Mason is not easy. Her style of writing is from the Victorian period and her sentences can at time be paragraphs long.
It is for that reason that I need Charlotte Mason Mentors.
The mentors I’ve selected are veteran Charlotte Mason mother-teachers. These women have taught the method, believe in the method and help mothers in their homeschool journey.
1. Cindy Rollins - Cindy Rollins has a Patreon where she reads the Charlotte Mason volumes and gives her feedback on each section. She’s also written a couple of books where she writes her journey as a homeschool mom, mistakes and lessons learned. She also hosts a podcast called The New Mason Jar Podcast.
2. Karen Glass: If you need help understanding the CM volumes, then I highly suggest Karen Glass’s book In Vital Harmony. Her book breaks down the volumes and really helps you understand theory behind CM’s method. Karen Glass is a guest on several Charlotte Mason podcasts.
3. Karen Andreola: Karen Andreola is another CM expert. She has studied her and written books to help one understand the method a lot better.
4. Jennifer Pepito: I love how Jennifer takes the CM method and expands on it to cultivate strong connection with our children. Jennifer has a new podcast where she discusses the importance of cultivating a strong biblical foundation in the home entitled Restoration Home.
5. Sonya Shafer from Simply Charlotte Mason. She has a wonderful podcast entitled Simply Charlotte Mason where she breaks down the Charlotte Mason method and answers questions from parents.
Other great CM mentors include Modern Miss Mason who hosts the Modern Miss Mason Podcast and Julie Ross from A Gentle Feast who also has a podcast of her own entitled The Charlotte Mason Show.
Lastly, one honorary homeschool mentor is Sally Clarkson. Although not a Charlotte Mason mother, she homeschooled her four children and all four are strong believers.
What other Charlotte Mason mentors do you have?
