Bible Time Duty
I was recently asked how it was that I became so obsessed in all things Bible including apologetics, world views, and controversial questions that I needed answered.
I didn’t answer immediately, I just paused and thought. My answer came like a week later. Here is what came to me.
As Christians, it is our duty to read and study the Bible and pray everyday. We are learn more about God and Church history. We are study difficult passages. We are to learn about God’s way. We are to learn and imitate God’s character.
Reading the and studying the Bible should not just be left to Pastors. When we only maybe open our Bibles on church days, our spiritual knowledge and curiosity becomes lazy and shrinks. At that point it is easier to be fooled by trends disguised as Christian based when we haven’t taken the time to read and study the Bible ourselves.
Deuteronomy 6:4-9 tells us that we are to teach God’s commands diligently to our children. Therefore we must make time to read and study God’s word daily. It is our duty.
In doing so, I pray that my children and your children have a strong foundation and love for our LORD.
