5 Top Charlotte Mason Resources
If you are excited about the Charlotte Mason method, today I want to share with you my top five resources to give you encouragement and help you get started. These resources are not meant to replace Charlotte Mason's six volumes.
1) A Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola
This book is a perfect subject-by-subject, theme-by-theme book for anyone wanting to understand the Charlotte Mason method better. Are you stuck on how to do art study? Read the section on art study in the companion to help you get a foothold on how to do the lesson.
2) In Vital Harmony by Karen Glass
This book helped me understand the method more than any other book. I was able to see how all the principles tied together to make a well-rounded and rich education. This book is a must have for any Charlotte Mason homeschool library.
3) Common House with Autumn Kern
Think about this resource as Charlotte Mason Online University. Autumn is a student of Charlotte Mason and is gifted with breaking down her method into a simple way of understanding it. For a small monthly fee you get access to courses and resources. There is a wonderful community of homeschool moms engaging in the material.
4) The Simply Charlotte Mason Podcast
The Simply Charlotte Mason Podcast is like having a mentor help you out in various topics from the pedagogy to parenting. It's a wonderful resource that you can access via YouTube or any place where you listen to your podcasts
5) Follow #CharlotteMasonMondays on Instagram
Every Monday, a group of Charlotte Mason homeschool moms and myself post on a specific topic about the pedagogy. We all share different perspectives and approaches that may be useful to you. Feel free to ask any of us questions about the method.
I hope these resources help you out in your Charlotte Mason journey.
